  • Hello Kelly Family,

You’ve been on my mind and always in my prayers. I checked in to see if you’d updated and low and behold you had. Talk about Miraculous! I’m so happy for Liam and glad he’s enjoying all the things a six year old should. I loved the photographs of Liam and Jack. Enjoy spring and all the fun you will have this summer. Thank you for taking the time to update Maureen. You know you have a special gift as a writer. God’s Blessings continue to keep you in the circle of His Love!

    Warmest Regards,

    Donna

    Dear Liam,

Thank you for having your family’s Christmas card dropped off in my hospital mailbox! I was very touched to be included on your mailing list! I had a wonderful Christmas with my own family and children, but I have to say, reading your card and seeing your latest pictures was one of the highlights of my Christmas this year. It really warmed my heart. It reminds me why I do what I do. I think maybe the last time I saw your Mom, she was pregnant with Jack! And now, you are probably helping change his diapers … right?! Ok, maybe not, but it sounds like you are a great older brother, and someone he will look up to both figuratively and literally (ask your parents if you don’t understand what I mean). One of my doctors told me I might want to think about hearing aids (!). If I get them, I want a color as cool as yours … if I get them. Still thinking about that. Anyway, say hello to your Mom & Dad, keep an eye on your little brother, and have a great 2014 & beyond!

  • Dear Kelly Family-

I just saw your holiday card in our department- thank you so much for sending it! It made my heart smile to see his bright green earmolds in your holiday pictures. The day he received his first hearing aids is still fresh in my mind.

Thank you for including the link to his blog- I love to see what he has been up to!

  • Dear Liam, Will, Maureen and Baby Jack,

I’ve been thinking about your family and have checked in off and on. Today I thought I’d check again and have to say that what was already a good day is a magnificent one.

What uplifting news to read how far Liam’s come and is continuing to gain. You all are an amazing team. I am so excited for Liam to know he’s living his life to the fullest and finally without all the medical interventions.

    God Bless your family!

  • Dear Ones, I just came across these words written by George Bernard Shaw. It sounds like your friend Mike, ( and the two of you as you live every moment of your life)
    THE TRUE JOY IN LIFE
    ” This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one;
Being a force of nature instead of a feverish,
selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to makeing you happy.
I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work for others, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations,”
It sounds like Mike was this sort of man.
we pray for all of you who mourn him.
Know also that we pray for both of you,and Liam, and Jack each night before we eat.
    Love Nancy and Bob

  • SPRING: BRINGING THE BUDS TO LIFE

” Listen! In the earth, the seeds are stirring and making noise, like the birds whose song has been silenced by wintter.
Now the snow is being devoured by sun our elder and in the branches,…The peristence
of our prayers is bringing the buds to life…
so may you have joy and wellness Liam child
of the sun. May you rise in play as smoke rises, and spread yourselve on the wind, In
our house, our hearts, you and your parents
are always welcome. In our prayers, you will
always hear your name, Liam, spoken with reverence.” Indian prayer
    love nancy and Bob
