  • Dear Ones, I just came across these words written by George Bernard Shaw. It sounds like your friend Mike, ( and the two of you as you live every moment of your life)
    THE TRUE JOY IN LIFE
    ” This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one;
    Being a force of nature instead of a feverish,
    selfish little clod of ailments and grievances,complaining that the world will not devote itself to makeing you happy.
    I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
    I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work for others,the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations,”
    It sounds like Mike was this sort of man.
    we pray for all of you who mourn him.
    Know also that we pray for both of you,and Liam, and Jack each night before we eat.
    Love Nancy and Bob

    Thinking of you and praying for you every day. Liam is one tough cookie. Even with new challenges in this next phase of treatment, I can only imagine he’ll continue to amaze us all with his strength and the positive attitude that he undoubtedly picked up from his parents! Sending you lots of love and hugs from all of us.

    Love,
    Allison, Scott and especially Sean and Marin
